ABOUT ME

I have been making websites and software since 1996. The software I make is of the educational kind, especially for special needs students but it is used by all age groups and all abilities all over the world. I originally began making educational software to help one of my sons who has special needs. In those days I rented a computer from Radio Rentals (remember them) but what good is a computer without software. The educational titles available then were expensive, so I decided to make my own. Back then my 3 sons commented on how grey my hair was turning. Dad's a real grey old twit, hence my nickname Grey Olltwit.

I made the software I produced available to all to download for free in 1997. Now there are over 200 titles and I run Grey Olltwit Software as a non profit charity. Those that can afford the small life membership fee of £9.99 get a bonus free DVD or CD sent to them. Those that cannot afford the fee can apply for free membership. I received over 600 last year and I haven't refused one yet. Many come from families who are struggling in this recession which seems to have no end for the ordinary person. Also I receive a large number of requests from developing countries. Many have been donated computers but don't have any software to use them. This prompted me to provide my software to computer refurbishers for free, which I now do over at go-aip.com

In addition to Grey Olltwit Software, I administer the charity my late first wife and I started in 1998, ADDers.org. The website provides a huge amount of accumulated information on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder which is the unfortunate label given to my special needs son.
